Teeth whitening treatments are designed to improve the colour of natural teeth without having to resort to more involved dental treatments such as fillings, veneers or crowns. The chemical process is entirely safe and the colour change long-lasting with an average of eight shades lighter achievable.
Even if you follow a meticulous at home oral care and cleaning routine, it's unavoidable that, over time, some yellowing or discoloration will occur. This gradual change can be caused by aging, coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine and excessive fluoride.
To enable you to achieve or recapture a beautiful alluring white smile, we have two solutions available at St Lucia Dental - at home and in the centre.
Many people choose to brighten their smile in the comfort and convenience of home at times to fit in with their busy schedule using our at-home procedure.
At your initial visit to St Lucia Dental, we will make detailed moulds of your teeth and create comfortable, customised mouth trays. The whitening trays look like a fine sport mouthguard which you fill with the whitening solution and place over your teeth, thereby avoiding contact with the gums.
While teeth whitening is very effective, each person is different and as such will achieve different results. Drinking tea, coffee, red wine and smoking during and after your whitening treatment can lessen its effectiveness and longevity of the results you have achieved.
